You and your class are invited to go on a field trip to the Art Institute in Chicago.The bus service has been contacted and buses have been reserved. You will plan your class' departure time. You will plan your tour from some of the masterpieces you will be viewing before you leave.
You will review what you know about the Elements of Art, particularly, Line and you will explore how artists use line in their work. You need to review how Line affects artworks and how artists use line in their work.
First, you will need to find out how much the entrance admission is, what hours the museum os open. Once you discover these two things, you need to find out how long it will take to get to Chicago and the Art Institute. We can decide what time we need to leave Monticello so that we can be at the Art Institute when it opens.
Once at the Museum, you will view different artworks and describe how line was used in each particular piece. You will complete a line drawing of a famous artwork.
At the end of your trip, you will write a short paper telling about your visit.
